My DASH Diet Weekly Weight Loss Plan

January 9, 2012 8 Comments

Starting this week I will be on a DASH diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension). I really need to shed those unwanted pounds. I am the type of person who loves sweets and ice cream so this DASH diet is really a  challenge for me. I remember I already tried several personal home made diet plans and it worked for me. This time with the presence of DASH diet, it will be healthier. I am thankful that when I focus and follow eating the right amount of foods, it helps a lot in my weight loss.

I have heard other alternatives for weight loss like taking slimming coffee and slimming pills. In my point of view, I do not want to try this because I found it not healthy for the body. They are effective as I have seen some of my friends who have used it but I think there will be a bad reaction to the body.

This week my goal plan is to cut down my rice intake. I will only eat rice once a day by lunch time and I will always eat more fruits and vegetables.

My weight management monitoring statistics:

Week 1 DASH Diet

Current weight as of 1/9/12 : 145 lbs.

Target weight on 1/14/12 : 140 lbs.

Weekly I will be targeting to cut down 5 lbs. My target weight is to reach 125 lbs. That means that I will be working on my DASH diet for four weeks. From January 9, 2012 it will end on February 6, 2012. Woot! Woot! I truly need to accomplish this goal before I go back to my OB/GYN (Obstetrics and gynaecology). I wanted to be physically fit before I get pregnant for my second baby. I will post my before and after photo. This post will be my motivation to loose weight.

I have a strong will that I can achieve this goal. When I am single I only weigh 112 lbs. I believe I can reach my target weight loss.

Good for you. My plan is to just target the ideal healthy weight. I do not want to be skinny. Our ideal body weight depends on our BMI and height.
