Teaching our kids how to earn money in their own and how to keep savings are some great ways to introduce them the importance and value of money. Letting them engage in entrepreneurship activities such as selling of cookies and other goodies may be a good starting experience for them of earning money, teach them to save by opening a bank account and encourage them to donate to charity. In addition they will develop better communication on how to deal with different fellow children and people.

nice to see that Filipinos nowadays are instilling this mindset to the young ones. before are teachings are study hard then find a job. Good thing we can think like a giant. Study hard then put up your own business.
This is something that I would seriously consider going to and sending my kids to, I would like them to learn how to think like an Entrepreneur because today, those who know how to think business are usually the ones who can make it big. 😛
that’s a great learning experience for kids 🙂
If our schedule is free on November 10, we’d bring our son here. I’m sure he’ll have fun to see other kids selling goodies, plus joining games and other activities.
I like the term “Junior Preneur” . I’d love to teach entrepreneurship to my future kids as soon as they’ll be able. 🙂
This is really fun. Its really good to teach children as early as possible in having their business. However, we must make sure that they like what they’re doing and they’re enjoying it.
Junior preneur, how cute was that! =)
I think this is a perfect opportunity to introduce and awaken a Filipino kid’s mindset for entrepreneurship.
poking their facebook page =)
I wish we’re also there in the Phils and let my kids experience this event. Nevertheless, I really try to instill t my kids the importance of money and working for it.
Wow this is a great initiative to get children into a very good, practical, and what should be a lifetime habit! I have seen first-hand how beneficial early business-intelligence (“BQ” maybe?) is for individuals; some of my friends taught by their savvy parents now own their own small start-ups and are looking to be on the way to their own financial independence.
Entrepreneurship is something that our society have missed embedding in our children’s minds. It has always been getting employed for most of us after graduation. Hopefully, more children will be open to the possibility of running their own business and not just depend on other people’s company to employ them. I’m following this Junior Preneur project 🙂
Me and my siblings were trained how to earn and save money when we were young. AT young age, 13, we were all working in the canned factory every summer vacation. Same with my nephew ,my kids and nieces. they save money if they want to buy something and helps out in the business at an early age.
I always welcome any chance for my children to have fun and learn at the same time. I’m sure this will be a great activity for parents and kids.
This reminded me of a lecture I once heard saying Filipino children are brought up to work, and Chinese kids are brought up to have a business.
This is a good way to change that. It’s a good way to instill a mindset of entrepreneurship in kids these days as times are changing
would love for my son to experience this. but my sisters birthday is on the 10th too
Children according to psychologists are best imitators. Teaching them some basic of business venture for them to be expert when they grow up, I believe, is the invest for a parent may do for their children. More so if they want their children to save for the rainy days.
I do hope we have opportunities like these too here!
Thanks for the idea.. this will be my next project for my kids! – Savings Account! 🙂
