The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 8 – A Dramatic Mid-season Finale

December 2, 2013 Leave a Comment

I can’t stop my tears falling from my eyes while watching “The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 8 – Too Gone Far“. We know that this TV series has violent scenes and not for general viewing but let me just share what I feel about this TV series since I have been watching it from the beginning. This weblog is wholesome so I chose words that I think best describes appropriately.

From episode one of the The walking Dead Series, I get hooked and excited to watch every season and episode to know more about the happening. Since this is not available here in the Philippines, I am watching it online in my spare time. Normally, I would watch it after it has been shown in its original air date.

In The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 8, the battle between Rick Grimes and the governor (Brian Heriot) has ended. The governor is so bad as he tells lies to his new team about Rick and his group to start up a war in claiming the territory of Rick’s group (The Prison) and oust them. He took two of Rick’s group members Hershel and Michonne as hostages. From there Rick’s group face imminent danger and devastation. As I watch this series in the middle, I was carried away seeing one of the best characters I like who died. It was Hershel Greene, the father of Maggie and Beth who is a former veterinarian, ranch owner and very protective of his two daughters. He is the moral compass of the group, humanitarian, been very helpful, methodical, and hopeful even after the tragic events that they’ve encountered.

The governor in this episode passed away together with most of his new team as well as other fellow members of Rick’s group. I felt sad about Rick’s place that it was just destroyed in this worthless battle that the governor brought to the group. At the prison, they have security with walls and fences, have grown crops, vegetables and fruits as their food, and they have each other to help one another.

At the battle, I felt pity to the children who learned to fought and use deadly weapons for survival. In this episode, it was shown just to help and saved their group.

Well, for some who did not know about this TV series, The walking Dead TV Series in a brief is about living in the midst of chaos wherein you have to do something for survival against zombies and bad people.

Why I watch “The Walking Dead” TV series? Honestly, I like horror movies but this TV series is not just about horror, violence, and war. I found myself hooked with this series because of the good build-up of the characters and story. Also, there is a family drama and approach that one can relate. As I’ve watched, I focus on the lessons that we can get and the best that I have learned from watching “The Walking Dead” is on how to deal or interact with different kinds of people even in danger. Rick’s group have shown to be very humanitarian that they have concern for each other – I think this is very important nowadays.

After this dramatic mid-season finale, now what? I can almost imagine how terrible the next episodes would be.

How about you? How do you feel about The walking dead TV series?
