Amusement centers are one of the places where people or families spend some time with kids when they are on vacation. The amusement centers are crowded during the holiday season most especially Christmas and New Year. We just visited Alabang Festival Mall Amusement a few days after new year and we’re so glad that the place is not filled with too many people.
There are many exciting adventures that you and your kids can do at the Alabang Festival Mall Amusement. The first amusement ride that we rode is the Festival Grand Station. This is located at the level 1 across the food junction. It is designed to resemble a whimsical American train station. The kids were so thrilled with the thematic effect that includes a depot, oil derrick, gas station, water tower, railroad crossing, and traffic stop signs. While we were on the train ride, we passed by a place that looks like a water well that my son wish and threw a coin. I think this train ride would only take 3- five minutes.
Next, we stopped at the Kiddo Driving school. This amusement ride is also located at level 1 across the food junction. It was built on a sunken gas station which truly looks amazing for kids and people young at heart. The Kiddo driving school has a track for 16 mini race cars for children 3 to 12 years of age. During that time there were only about eight kids driving including my son. Just a tip, choose a red car because it is faster and responsive compared to other cars that son tried. Because he enjoyed this ride so much, we let him drove twice.
The Festival Grand Carousel at level 3 is the third amusement ride that we tried. My son rode on the donkey and beside him is his daddy on a bigger horse. Mom-in-law, my youngest daughter and I chose to rode on a small carriage behind them. I have observed that this grand carousel is a bit old but still in good condition I guess. It is beautiful to ride in a 19th century European double-Decker with its fantasy animals for rides such as swan, elephants, chicken, giraffes, and of course the horses.
My kids were enchanted in the wonderful world of friendly trees, giant flowers, and mushrooms, and candy-colored fairy village at the Pixie forest. There,my husband accompanied my son in the water flume ride of Elfin waves. Aside from these, the rides and attractions in the Pixie forest are Fairy’s wheel, Flying Dwarves (mini planes), Fun house attraction, soft play area for toddlers, token-operated mini cars, and video games.
The rate for each ride in the train Festival Grand Station, Grand Carousel, Kiddo driving school is P40 per ride.
My family were not able to explore more of the rides and attractions but we will surely go back to try more. Just beside the Festival Grand Carousel, we ate at the nearby Japanese restaurant.
Lastly, before we went home my hubby and son got a chance to took a picture with Iron man and Gundam Wing cosplayers. You just have to drop any amount to the box in front of them and they are more willing to pose with you for the picture taking. We spotted Iron man at the second level while Gundam Wing was at the third level.
Our Alabang Festival Mall Amusement rides experience was fun. Even the grandma enjoyed the ride. My son keeps telling me to go back there. I think it would be best to go there during off-peak season so that you and your family will truly have fun and feel comfortable in every ride which we did.
