Biking is one of the most enjoyable and engaging outdoor activity that I love to do. I learned biking when I was about nine years old. Now that I am a mom, I missed biking. I saw my former colleagues who are into biking and it shows how this activity keeps them fit. When we moved here in Cavite, I noticed that we really need a bicycle. Something that we can use for exercise and for a quick ride for errands. I think there is a practical ride in a folding a bike.
Folding bike have many advantages compared to conventional bikes. First, the seatposts and handlebar stems on folders extend as much as four times higher than conventional bikes. The folding bike is smaller in overall size compared to a conventional bike. The smaller wheels in a folding bike has a potential for more speed, quicker acceleration, maneuverability and easier storage. Easier storage is the biggest advantage that my husband and I consider in buying a folding bike.
It took us months before we decided to finally buy a bicycle. The bike in the photo above is an early Valentine gift of my husband to me. We did some research on what brand of bicycle to buy but then we end up buying to the available stock from the nearest bicycle station in our place. Since they do not have a folding bike made up of alloy frame with full suspension, I decided to choose a folding bike made up of metal frame but with full suspension. The metal frame is Viking and I think other parts are just assembled. The good thing about this assembled bike is that you can customized or change the other parts. My husband who knows more about bike than me said that he will be replacing some parts soon like the Shimano gears, etc..
Also, our main reason for buying the bicycle near in our place is to take advantage of their service just in case we need a help with our bikes. My husband also bought his bike here.
I already tested my bike in three consecutive days now and I am so glad with my new bicycle. I actually wanted a pink or white bike but since it is not available I go for this color black which is less attractive. I think it is a better choice because it is not prone to discoloration with dirt and not attractive to robbers 🙂 . The full suspension of this bike is really working on rough and bumpy roads. The saddle is just right for my big butt and found it comfy. It has 6-speed gear shifters making it easier to use the pedals when you are biking uphill. This bicycle comes with a Dahon basket so whenever I go to the market, I can unload the things that I purchase here. It also has reflector lights and a cute bell.
By the way, we bought this folding bicycle at Marconi bike station in Daanghari Road near the Vallejo Place.
Overall, I like this bicycle as an entry level bike. I enjoyed the ride. Thank you so much my husband for giving me this bicycle as a Valentine gift. For the meantime I am satisfied with this assembled bicycle but in the future if I have so many savings, I am going to buy a Tern or a Dahon bicycle. This is the practical ride in a folding bike. See you in my next adventure!
