When is the last time that you’ve tasted freshly made so enjoyable candies making you feel special in every piece? This is what I am going to share to you about Made in Candy with special and unique taste of candies. My son Jelvin and I had a wonderful time in making candies as we discovered how these are freshly and beautifully handmade.
Before we started making candies, we wore heat resistant gloves for safety. Chef Paul lead the candy making, melted sugar pours out at 150 degrees Celsius, mixing flavors to add extra sweetness then he mixed all in some pretty colors for the design of the candy. While making candies, the Soursop scent of candy is very enticing in candy making. For the design of the candy we make the Clover Rock design with Soursop flavor.
Next to be done is portioning the right amount. Chef Paul together with the candy artisan showed us how to sculpt contemporary handmade candies using methods to craft pictures and messages at the center of each candy. They actually have a step-by-step method that looks like a template for each candy design. My son and I tried to help in the process. From liquid, it became sticky.
I remember before when I visited their Made in Candy branch in Rockwell, the candy artisans are so cool and comfortable in making candies. Honestly, when I did candy making it is not that easy from what I saw from them. All parts of your body moves in making candies and you should be very attentive to make the right kind of candy. They use three kinds of table in making candies for mixing colors, hand-sculpting, and cooling candies.
The process I recall that we did is to flattened, took measurements, rolled, and wrapped these portions. Done stretching Candy for a beautiful texture and hand-sculpting Hot Gooey Candy.
What I am holding weighs about 4 kilos of candy. We stretched and rolled it several times until we made the right size. We cut it into right bite-size pieces without sharp edges. At first, I find it hard to cut the right size of candy but they told me to just relax when I cut and they showed me the right angle.
The outcome is beautifully and freshly delicious Made in Candy Clover Rock. In addition to regular cuts of made in candy in a jar, Chef Paul made a lollipop with my son’s initial “J” and my name “Jem”.
My son Jelvin and I were surprised and felt so special because they made a jar of candies for each of us “Jelvin” and “Jem”. By eating each of these candies, you will truly say that these are Made in Candy with special and unique taste of candies! Special thanks to Made in Candy Philippines for having me and my son in this enjoyable and exciting candy making experience. We truly enjoyed it!
What is Made in Candy?
Made is Candy is Asia’s first independent candy kitchen. Where everyone’s sweet desires are met! The Candylab (Philippines) Inc., handling Made in Candy (MIC), first made its debut in the Philippines in the year 2012, with their first store located at the bridge way of the Powerplant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati City. MIC was an idea born from the obsession with candies.
Candy making is performed live to the upbeat music of the latest rock and pop artists in front of eager customers waiting to try a warm and freshly made piece. Friendly candymen continually engage customers while the hot sugar forms and is open for everyone to see, smell, and experience.
Candy is more than just a sweet delicacy; it’s a symbolic tribute- as well as a perfect gift to bring meaning to someone.
A meaning that would actually sweeten any tooth, mouth, and heart.
Made in Candy Products
A range of over forty designs and flavors of bite-size rocks spread across their retail offering. MIC uses the best quality sugar and specially imported raw materials to ensure that products maintain its strict quality. Natural flavors from Europe are flown for formulation in professional laboratories in Singapore that bring out the best taste in every candy we make.
Aside from their increasing array of designs, they also custom-make candies to fit your theme perfect for birthdays, weddings, or any event.
