I close my eyes and I can see, the world is waiting up for me, That I call my own. Nothing is impossible when you keep believing in your dreams. Can you guess what are my dreams? I’ve been walking the road to a million dreams.
Living simple and being grateful is my road to a million dreams. If we live in a simple life, we feel grateful for everything we experience with our five senses. When you are grateful, there is real happiness. The photo above is me and our family pet “Tickles”. Two weeks before that photo, she got severely ill with fungal infection and stomach bacteria. I took care of her and my heart is blissful seeing her full recovery.
Before I got married, I recall that my greatest dream is to be a simple housewife. I have high respect for women who are dedicated housewives and mothers to their children. I witnessed how my mother nurtures us with unconditional love, care, and good values that makes me and my siblings better citizens. My husband knew this dream. Since I am a BS Computer Engineering graduate, I love to use computer systems and the like. Eleven years ago, work from home is not that popular. I was lucky enough to have an online job that I am still doing right now. I strive hard and now thankful that technology evolved making the internet connection fast and reliable, and the notebook computer is more responsive than before. With that, I am contented.
I have a million dreams. With baby steps, I am reaching it one at a time. First is being married to a faithful, responsible, and a loving husband. Sometimes the modern day lifestyle of people affects the behavior and relationship of couples. One good example is the use of social media, internet and smartphone. I pray that these factors will not ruin the family or couple’s relationship. Next is having my own children that I dearly love. A good and stable job. It is followed by our dream home with a bonus of vehicles (but the car maintenance is expensive so be prepared for that). As we grow older, we think of investments. That is part of my million dreams to have a financial freedom. My dreams lie with living simply.
To achieve those dreams, I make goals for it. Currently, my goal is to have a sustainable garden where I can grow organic fruits and vegetables that provides us fresh air. At home, we already have five trees by which three are already fruit-bearing. I also have several vegetable plants and flowers. I love the feeling that I am living my simple dreams. When I am gardening, all my stress is gone.
Another dream I have is quite private that I will reveal soon because I am still in a study mode. I am actually a private person, but to inspire, share something worthy, helpful and keep track of beautiful thoughts and experiences, I blog too. I blog and post in a free way and not stressing myself to hit the deadline (ok sometimes I still blog with deadlines haha, but it depends for as long as it will not stress me out or affect my family schedule) or impress someone. Although I love blogging, hardcore blogging is not my dream. You can actually earn big money from blogging. I’ve been there before. The world is very competitive. I prefer to be mediocre and not your top mommy blogger. With great powers comes great responsibility. One reason why I am not that so active in blogging is health reasons. My eyes can’t stand longer period by using a computer or smart phones. I want to devote most of my time on raising my children and taking care of my husband.
Do not stop dreaming because it makes our life worth living. It sparks joy like the trending Marie Kondo. In every dream there is passion. And that passion drives a person to love what he or she is doing in achieving that dream. So, whatever dreams you may have, keep dreaming! What is your road to a million dreams?
See you in my next post.
