There are many serious cases of Dengue causing death reported at the TV news last week until now here in the Philippines. Dengue is truly considered one of the dangerous tropical diseases caused by the dengue virus because it may progress to a life-threatening complications.
As a mom, I am worried about Dengue fever so as early as possible I secure my little boy in protecting him from mosquito bites. We can prevent dengue diseases by keeping our place clean and keeping away things or places where dengue mosquitoes breed ( exposed water collection systems like pots, tank, drums, barrels, discarded bottles and tires, and other places where water is stored). I also bought a kid’s insect repellant lotion that is said to be an effective protection from mosquitoes especially during playtime. When I bought an insect repellant lotion it is almost out of stock so what I have got is only available in sachet in 6ml which cost Php 8 ($0.19). The brand that I bought is Off for kids insect repellant lotion. It is dermatologist tested and the one that I bought has a tropical fresh fragrance.
When I applied it to the skin of my two year-old toddler, it smells fine and smooth on the skin. He didn’t have any rashes so I thankful am for that. From the packaging it is said that it provides protection for up to 3 hours. In my experience I only apply the kids insect repellant lotion to the skin of my little boy at least twice a day. I have noticed that he didn’t have any mosquito bites. I would suggest this to moms for an additional extra protection from mosquitoes for their family.

The rising incidents of dengue here in country is really freaking me out. I also always make sure I put insect repellent lotion on my kid.
