Do you know what’s the easiest way to prepare a meal? I think most of us might answer steam or fry. Now that majority of people are engaged in an active and busy lifestyle, oftentimes we find ourselves without the time or the energy to prepare a decent meal, that is, if we even know how to cook in the first place. Ready-to-eat items like canned goods or processed meats, order food for takeout or delivery are usually the option that we take in our busy world. Bounty Fresh Top Torikatsu is the new-generation quick gourmet ulam that we can greatly consider in our list of meal.
Bounty Fresh brings us Top Torikatsu, the first in a brand new line of heat-and-eat items for people who lack time or the know how to prepare meals but nonetheless appreciate great-tasting chicken dishes. Bounty Fresh is the first Philippine company to win the Best Poultry and Livestock Company Award at the 2009 Asian Livestock Industry Awards and continues to provide delicious and top-quality chicken products, making it deserve its tag as being “Asia’s Best.”
What is Top Torikatsu?
Top Torikatsu is based on the ever-popular Japanese breaded chicken cutlet dish made from the choicest, 100% chicken breasts and is coated with crispy breadcrumbs for that extra crunch and texture. But what makes Top Torikatsu distinct is that it comes in two flavors – Classic and Cheese & Chives. The Classic variant is filled with delectable mayonnaise, while the Cheese & Chives variant oozes with savory cream cheese and chives bits.
How do you cook Top Torikatsu?
It’s easy to cook; just fry it for three minutes. In cooking Top Torikatsu, use a frying pan and place in medium heat then carefully place two or three pieces of frozen breaded katsu in the pan. Cook each side for about 2-3 minutes until it is golden brown. Remove from the pan and drain excess oil. You can also bake it by setting temperature of turbo broiler to 175 degree Celsius and cook for 7-8 minutes. Turnonce carefully and cook for another 5-6 minutes.
The serving size of Top Torikatsu is 100g, servings per container is 4.5, Calories is 330 and calories from fat is 190.
My Cooking and Tasting review:
Based on my experience in cooking Top Torikatsu, I prefer to fry it in a shallow pan because it is easier and fast. Since it is frozen, it is best to thaw it first in a few minutes before frying to loosen the pieces. When turning the piece, make sure that the bottom part is already cooked and be careful in turning the other side.
For best tasting, serve it while it is hot. I like the classic variant compared to the cheese and chives but both taste good. Even without a sauce top torikatsu is simply delicious. My husband and five-year old son likes it. The chicken is tender and the flavor taste just fine. My family loves to eat this with soup at the side of the plate. It can be cook and match in anytime of the day.
