We are now in the Hallway Interior Design. I have been publishing home improvement posts. It is important for me to record the progress of our home enhancement. Our house was built from scratch, so it is exciting to discover the nearly outcome. After we have done with the architectural design of the house, including the extension, we focus on the interiors. I want a house that is well-ventilated. The hallway is a great passage way of natural air flowing through the house. So, we make an effort with the architectural design applying the an appropriate interiors.
Compared to the hallway of the big houses I’ve seen, our’s have a narrow Hallway. I was thinking of narrow hallway Interior Ideas. Most of our home interior design was actually my idea.
At first, my husband did not approve it because it is expensive. Hence, I insisted and told him that I am willing to share a big part of the materials, paints, and labor. I recall the foreman who built our house is smiling while husband and I are in the discussion about the interior design. Since I am very determined with the design, he supported me. Surprisingly, hubby suggested other details to me. I love brainstorming! I drafted the interior plans, including the position of the closet, cabinets, and shelves. We presented it to the foreman. Then, he demonstrated the initial overview of our interior plans. He is a team player. He recommended the best materials and options to use. And he is right. We are thankful that he can be trusted in this field. Another thanksgiving is for the fund I used for the interiors. It was a blessing from the honorarium I received from my blog partner during the first quarter of 2016. Moving onto the design.
Narrow hallway Interior Ideas
- Use light paints on the wall, hallway and a dark floor shade. Lighter shades make the wall, hallway space bigger. The dark floor is a good match with lighter hues of the wall.
- Place the hallway with an end accent and feature. I placed our happy family picture. A reminder when you enter the hallway that happy family resides in this home. I will be adding more accent and feature soon.
- Add a colorful rug or a beautiful carpet for an instant style. Would you believe that the center of our flooring in the photo is not a real carpet? It is actually a tile flooring with a carpet design. I decided to have it installed for easy hallway floor management. That tile flooring with a carpet design is easy to clean and have a rough surface – not so slippery when wet.
Moreover, I wanted to add a modern feel in our hallway. For modern Hallway Ideas, we just set up the modern ceiling lighting. We used the round Philips LED downlight. It has a sense, flat, and simplicity slimsurface modern design. Although it is costly, the advantage is its long life and energy saving. Adding a modern style at the hallway Interior Design is neat.
Which do you prefer modern design or the classic design?
