Our Lady of Victory Chapel in Malabon was the only church that I visited for the Visita Iglesia this year. I have mentioned in my recent post Visita Iglesia at Our Lady of Victory Chapel in Malabon that I have a plan to do my visita Iglesia at the said church. This is a private chapel owned by the Araneta Clan which can sometimes be seen on TV drama series or movies as a venue for their church wedding and other church ceremonies.

My main goal to visit the church is to pray with the stations of the cross. Because this is a private chapel, there are very few people that visit the church. The windows and doors were closed and the main door is the only open door during that time (Good Friday).
Inside Our Lady of Victory Chapel in Malabon
The surroundings around the Victory Chapel is very serene and the atmosphere is very refreshing. The design of the church is more on Spanish architecture with a combination of Filipino designs. You can tell it by the walls, lamps and structure designs around the church.

Outside the church are lush of greenery scenes keeping the place so peaceful away from pollution as you can only hear humming birds and the sounds of the branches of trees or leaves as it sways while the wind blows.

Along the way to the parking area of the chapel, a bright, colorful birds of paradise flower were seen during that time. The birds of paradise flower are a symbol of tropical flowers which resembles a bird’s beak and head plumage. There are many different plants and flowers around the church. The Araneta clan has proven their environmental care by keeping the Araneta compound and Araneta villages in Malabon clean and green. It rooted from Don Salvador Zaragosa Araneta who had one of the biggest contributions in the Philippines most particularly in the field of agriculture. He founded the Gregorio Araneta University Foundation, which is now popularly known as De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU).
I will surely go back here with my family. Currently I have seen that they are selling a house and lot in the village. If I have big enough money, I will greatly consider buying a property in the Araneta Village in Malabon.
We visited 7 churches last Maundy Thursday. Kung malapit lang kami sa Malabon pupuntahan namin yan 🙂
