Are you planning for a relaxing, clean, safe, affordable and beautiful beach resort in Palawan? Then let me share you what we have found and experience at Nitivos beach resort in Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan. It was our first family tour vacation in Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan and we wanted to fully enjoy our family vacation.
On the first day after arrival, we decided to immediately go for beach swimming. My brother-in-law has a close friend in Puerto Prinsesa and suggested that we will be going to the snake island where we can find a white beach comparable to Dos Palmas. Before we were able to reach the snake island, we need to ride in a motorized boat. Unfortunately, we did not succeeded in going there because there are no life vest available in the motorized boat so we just look for other beach resort along the highway. We have kids and we are after the family safety so we find another option for beach swimming.
Thankfully after the search along the highway, we found Nitivos beach resort. During that time we are the only guest in the beach resort so it seems like we rented the whole place. It was very private and the place is so cozy. Nitivos beach is just located along the highway so it is very easy to find the place and safe because we do not need to ride in a boat to reach the beach resort.

Swimming at Nitivos Palawan
The rate of this beautiful beach resort is very affordable. The entrance and swimming fee including the cottage is absolutely free. All you have to do is to place a food order for the whole family. In our case, we ordered Calamares, Sinigang na Baboy, Chopsuey, Pansit, fruit shakes, Inihaw and we requested to grill the fresh fish that we bought from the market. I think we only spent Php2,200 for 20 people. They have beautiful, clean cottage area and rooms for rent too.

Nitivos beach Palawan swimming experience
At the beach shore, you can feel the fine mocha color sand. There is no sunshine that day but we are very happy that it is not raining. At the shallow part, there are small rocks but when you go deeper your feet can touch super fine sand. The beach is very safe for young children because the waves are very small and most of the times the water is calm. There is also a net line for swimming area.
Nitivos Beach resort in Palawan is located at Kilometer 59, Barangay San Rafael, Puerto Princesa, Palawan. From the city, it would only take you about 2-3 hours travel time depending on your vehicle type to reach Nitivos Beach resort.

This is really a good beach and affordable beach alternative in Puerto Princesa and especially good for family gatherings.
Wow! I was actually in Puerto Princesa a few years back. If I had known about this nearby beach resort, my beau and I would’ve tried it. Although we did find the time to explore Snake Island. You should still try and visit the island. It’s really beautiful there. 🙂
Unfortunately, I only like beaches with white sand and super safe … yung may harang na hanggang 7 feet lang. Don’t know how to swim kasi e.
Mmm, still a 2-3 hours ride from the city. Is this the nearest beach side from the city? Good decision for you not to continue to the snake island, safety first before pleasure, lalo na at kasama ang kids and family.
spending 110 pesos per head, that’s really a good deal, Eh yung beach mukhang maganda naman. Sayang, di kayo tumuloy ng snake island. Baka naman mga bulate lang ang naroon. LOL
Island in the sun well spent with family, those sweet moments! 🙂
you guys are lucky! I haven’t been anywhere in philippines and never see any gorgeous beaches! xx
We miss this kind of moment, the last time we have family beach outing was in 2009. We hope we could plan it ahead and Palawan would be our best bet, thanks for sharing.
One of the things included in my bucket list include swimming on a beach! Believe it or not, I was still not able to swim in one. And, as they say, Palawan is the place to be. May I ask, is this near the Underground River?
Hi,
It is far from the Palawan underground river approximately 2 hours travel time. If you want to go on swimming near the underground, you can swim at the Sabang beach but the waves are big.
Now that’s an affordable beach that we can enjoy when we get to PP in Palawan. Do they have a website or a facebook page?
Hi,
You can try to contact them at http://www.facebook.com/nitivos.beach.5?fref=ts
Woah, Php 2,200 for 20 people! That’s a bargain!
Great time! we are going to Puerto Princesa next week. I’m gonna be very useful! 🙂
We were in Puerto Prinsesa last year and I missed this place. Maybe when I come back I will see this place too =)
I hope to visit Palawan with the whole family. This beach looks refreshing but my kids can hardly plunge into a cold water.
mukhang nag enjoy ang grupo sa outing na ‘to. Honestly hindi ako familiar sa beach na ‘to.
