Raisin snacks for kid’s calorie boosting

February 27, 2012 2 Comments

A few weeks ago, I have shared a post on Healthy weight gain strategies for kids. One of the healthy weight gain strategies that I have mentioned in my post is to offer high nutrition but more calories per servings to your child. Raisins are high calorie dried fruits that are best to offer for kids. It is the world’s most nutritious dried fruits. Although they are sweet,  they’re 70% pure fructose, a natural form of sugar that is easily digested for quick energy.

Ram raisins High Calorie snack for kids

The nutritional information of raisins

  • There are 100 calories for every 30g of raisins.
  • with vitamins and minerals  including iron and potassium
  • cholesterol-free, low in sodium

From the supermarket, I bought Ram California seedless raisins packed in individually 30g boxes for easy grabs of my toddler. For every box of 30g of raisins, He will surely get 100 Calories from eating the raisins in that box. It is up to you whatever brand you would like to buy. My little loves the raisins. It good to give him this snacks on his break while playing.
