It is almost two months since I started strict monitoring for my toddler’s weight gain. I have mentioned in my post about “Filipino toddler on weight gain” that my son gained an additional half kilo. With the continuous monitoring on healthy weight gain strategies for kids that I have done, I am so happy with the results.

Filipino Toddler weight gain
Now he gained more than a kilo. If you hold his arms and body parts, you can feel his healthy body muscles and fats. Although is is not that big and fat compared to other kids, I am so thankful for his very good physical growth and brain development. The photo above is the recent picture of my little boy taken after the Palm Sunday mass. His T-shirt looks smaller already and I need to buy a new one.
The regular foods for weight gain that I prepare for him in consistency are raisins, yogurt, taho (Soya Milk), regular rice meals (2/3x a day) including Mongo beans dish, fruits such as Orange, Grapes, Mangoes and Guyabano. He is still drinking Pediasure milk and an additional Enfa kid A+ in the morning. We are excited for him to be in formal school. Since he is only three years old, I am planning to enroll him in a kiddie learning center first with small group of students.
How about you? Can you share some of the things that you did for your child’s health – Toddler weight gain ?

I love the food you prepare for him. All healthy. Do you give him an appetite stimulant pa?
Hi Anne,
Yes, I started to give him appetite stimulant two months ago. It is Propan AS.
That’s great to be involved in his body weight at this young age, i could totally see from the picture that he is the right weight for his height and age.
And of course over the time his metabolism will have it say, so i think just keep an eye on how he react to food (weight gain wise) and if you find that he has slow metabolism may be don’t go adding pounds to him.
But if he has high metabolism then you should keep making him weight gain diets (healthy of course). and when he gets a bit older teach him about food!
