I know it sounds something new for a speaker, let me share what I’ve discovered.
From the dictionary, Monocle is a single round lens for one eye that helps people see. What I am pertaining here is the MONOCLE, a revolutionary new speaker which is not just one thing; Speaker, handset and speakerphone that allows you to enjoy music and calls in a fresh new way – however and wherever you are.

Monocle is more than a speaker. When I tested this monocle, I was surprise because even though it is small, it has a high quality audio. In listening, you should press the small button once to play or pause music. Alternatively, you can use your device to control manually. To turn on, simply rotate the wheel clockwise until it ticks and the white LED will show. To turn off, just rotate the wheel counter clockwise then the LED indicator will turn off too. To increase or decrease the volume, rotate the wheel clockwise or counterclockwise.
Hold it up to your ear like a headphone or simply twist the wheel to turn it into a compact boom box. You can daisy-chain up to 10 MONOCLES to create a more social listening experience for party moments.
More than a handset. With a full duplex enabled microphone, the MONOCLE provides clarity of voice, allowing you to take calls and navigate your device at the same time. I tried this using my iPhone 5 playing the talking Ginger with my 11 months old baby, and it works good. Just make sure to always start from a low volume. MONOCLE is also compatible with voice recognition. Branch up to 2 devices to share callsand music discretely.
It is also more than a speakerphone. A new way to answer your calls hands-free. In answering or ending a call, you can just click the small button on the side of the monocle near the micro USB port. For the volume, use the control function on your phone. It is simply great as a smartphone companion.
Monocle Standard colors are Coral red, Marine Blue, Mint, and Slate. The color of the monocle in the photo above is Marine Blue, it was so in for 2014 because the color trend for 2014 is dazzling blue.
Special colors of Monocle are Brushed Black Diamond and Brushed Copper (the one in the photo below).
Monocle Price: Php 2,250.
My Review:
Monocle is very unique, stylish, handy, useful, and so perfect as a smartphone companion. With its plug and play 3.5mm jack, it is compatible with all devices – Smartphone, tablets, notebook computer making it very handy and functional. It has a high quality audio and a clarity of voice with its full duplex enabled microphone. Adjusting the volume is so easy with its volume control wheel with knurled rubber texture for optimal grip. No more messy wires to worry because the retro cord of the monocle is so simple to keep and arrange. Lastly, the ultra resistant nylon reinforced cable of the retro cord is surely durable and adjustable making it perfect on the go. This is a great Christmas gift suggestion this 2013 especially for music lover and people who loves to use their smartphone with added functionality.
