There are times that I need to prepare quick school baon for my son. For quick and easy school baon, I would buy foods with individually packed food items such as cupcakes, wafer, biscuits, pretzels, etc. What I posted here is something that my son liked – Pretzels and Mochi baon.
The brand of the pretzels that I prepare is the popular Filipino all-time favorite Jack and Jill chocolate Pretzels. Mochi is a Japanese rice cake made up of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice short-grain japonica glutinous rice. The Mochi in the photo is a product of Regent. I bought these Pretzels and Mochi at a supermarket.
When I prepare school baon for my son, I normally tell him about the food that I prepare. Since their lesson is about “Mga Dayuhan na dumayo sa Pilipinas” in Sibika (Foreigners who landed in the Philippines), I told him that “Mochi” is a food dessert of Hapones (Japanese). He became interested and even tell her teacher about it. When he came home, I checked his baon and noticed that he ate all his Pretzels and Mochi baon. I have more baon combinations to share. Stay tuned! 🙂
