Sinigang na Lechon Kawali is one of the Filipino menu that we really like when we took a meal at Zucchero Filipino-Italian restaurant. This is another family-friendly restaurant that serves better meal selections for the whole family. Here’s our family dining experience at this restaurant.
Usually when we dine in with the whole family we look for a good restaurant that is not crowded. I have two kids and we want them to feel comfortable in eating their meals even if we are out of the house. A comfortable dining place will make happy kids eat more foods together with their family. It will also lessen the throw of tantrums because as we know kids may easily get irritated if they didn’t like the ambiance.
Seeing the menu of Zucchero Filipino-Italian restaurant, you can actually have many meal choices – Italian or Filipino. We ordered Sinigang na Lechon Kawali (good for three-four persons), Hamburger steak(for my 6-year old son), Chicken Teriyaki Fillet for their Lola), Melon juice, and a slice of Sanrival.
The taste of Sinigang na Lechon Kawali is very comforting. I think they use natural broth for the Sinigang na Sampaloc. My son Jelvin so loved the sinigang soup that we had to take-out the remaining soup. The Lechon Kawali meat is tender as welll as the veggies which were freshly cooked.
Hamburger steak sauce tastes good – not salty just right. The burger patty looks like home-made which makes it even better for kids. My mom-in-law who ate the Chicken Teriyaki fillet told me that they have a good chef. She likes her meal. She knew how to cook a lot of specialty menus that is why every time we eat, she would always comment on the taste.
For the dessert, I bought a slice of Sansrival. I think it is too sweet for me. Their Melon shake is refreshingly good.In addition, they sell different variant of cakes. You can buy a slice or a whole cake. The total bill we paid is approximately P1,000 plus. Before we went home, I bought their special Pinoy style Halo halo. Their Halo halo is just fine – there are Buko and Langka strips in the halo halo.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. We dine-in at their branch in SM Southmall, Alabang Zapote road, Almanza Uno, Las Pinas City. Zucchero Filipino-Italian Restaurant or Zucchero Cafe in SM Southmall is clean, not crowded, has a good high chair for kids, have sumptuous meal preparations, and they have attentive and friendly staff. It is located at the basement level (across bowling center). The next time we go to SM Southmall we will surely dine-in here again.
