My Binondo Food Trip 2023 is fun and memorable. I have been longing to do it a few months ago. Curious about the food, I became more interested when I watched the Binondo food trip of Chef RV Manabat. I should have published this last year, but I just got a chance to do it this 2024.
During my college days, I spent my 5-year engineering course in Manila near Binondo. I got a chance to dine in at few restaurants in Binondo before. It has been two decades now, and I wanted to experience the recommended Binondo food trip.
I almost forgot who I am with during our Binondo Food Trip. Lucky to have a sister, brother, and my mom still around whom I can celebrate life’s gala haha. At first, we attended the Holy Mass at the Binondo Church. That is our meeting place. Mama and I came from Cavite while my sister from Caloocan and brother came from Mandaluyong. From the Binondo church, we just walked to check the first food stop.
We decided to ride in a tricycle in going to New Eastern Garden Restaurant. That is small restaurant but what we like there is the Fresh Lumpia dubbed as the “Best Fresh Lumpia in Town“. We arrived at around 10:45Am so it is early lunch and a perfect time because we got a nice seat.
The food we ate at New Eastern Garden Restaurant are Kikiam, Special Chinese Lumpia (with seasweeds), Fried Chicken, Fried Canton, Yangchow rice. I can say that the price is just right and considerably affordable. Our verdict is 4 out 5. The restaurant has a limited space and dining table so it is advisable to arrive early.
Absolutely, we will go be back to Binondo for another food trip. We missed the Quick Snack at Carvajal St. Binondo.
