2015 Fashion + Home Color

January 4, 2015 17 Comments

Do you know the 2015 fashion + home color?Although I am not very fashionable when it comes to wearing clothes, every year I am always on the look for fashion + home color. Before the years ends, I normally buy things or clothes which are the colors of the coming new year. In this post, I will be sharing the hues of Marsala. It is the color of the year 2015 by Pantone.

2015 Fashion + Home Color

2015 Fashion + Home Color, Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth. This is according to Leatrice Eiseman, an Executive Direct or of Pantone Color Institute. In my view, this 2015 color resembles like a red wine making the surroundings sophisticated.

Inside our bedroom where there are Marsala pairings, we feel so warm perfect this cold season in the Philippines. It looks so hearty just right in time this coming Valentines in February.

At home I decorated curtains, tablecloth, bed sheets with the hues of Marsala. I based the color combination from the Pantone website with Marsala color pairings. The Marsala Color Pairings in the photo above is one of the combination from the list.

For Marsala color pairings,  the highly varietal shade combines dramatically with neutrals, including warmer taupes and grays. So, whatever kind of material it is,  matte or gloss finish, it can be combine with those shades. Also according to Pantone,  sultry Marsala is highly compatible with amber, umber and golden yellows, greens in both turquoise and teal, and blues in the more vibrant range. This is because of  its burnished undertones.

There you have it. Some parts of our humble home with 2015 Fashion + Home Color   , Marsala. Now I am more than excited to work at home with my family. Marsala is an earthy shade and I think the color of beauty too 🙂 . I haven’t buy clothing with this color yet but will buy soon. This post is actually on the hang for a couple of days and thank God, I published it now.

How about you? Have you decorated your home for this year’s color?

I hate to admit but I don’t know that there is such thing as “Marsala” color. Now I know. 🙂 I’m thinking if Marsala will match our Grey walls?

      Hi Michi,

I’ve read that if you’re using shadow grey colors, it is a good combination with Marsala and Orchid Haze.

This year is actually the first time I’ve heard of the color, but I must admit that I like it. I think it’d be perfect for homes that favor classic over modern design.

      Hi Maan,

I agree that it is more on the classic side or vintage 🙂

When I first saw this color of the year, I associated it with the color maroon. I thought it was too dark and sad. Thanks for showing how it could be combined with other colors. 🙂

Hi Nadia, My husband also said that Marsala is close to the Maroon color that looks boring but when I started to mix and match the color pairings he liked it.

I never really followed the color of the year when it comes to decorating home. Nakakahiya pa kasi that’s our line of business and you won’t see hints of “color of the year” in our house :))

When I saw that Marsala was the color for 2015 I immediately fell in love with it. I like the idea of patterning your home to the color for the year to help inspire.

I’ve heard about the color Marsala from my brother in law, and at first, I was wondering what that color is. Will definitely incorporate this color into my wardrobe, and our house too! 🙂
