Nice selection. I am proud to say I’ve all those 5 films. Haha! But I wouldn’t Harry Potter and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to kids below 15, even with a PG rating. These days, most parents just leave their kids to watch shows or films even with a PG rating. Or if they do watch it with their kids, do they take time to explain to them what they just watched? I am reminded of my youth when my mom would explain everything to me, even the kissing part (if there’s kissing involved), or insinuated love making.
I definitely agree about Harry Potter & Charlie & the chocolate factory for kids below 13 I think.. And if we watch movies with the little kids, even if it is rated G, we should explain something as the movie progress.
Great picks of family friendly movie as this are movies that is good to watch with the family and at the same time shares timeless lessons that go a long way.
I have the original DVD’s of all the movies. My family loves these kind of movie, if you think that only kids loves cartoon movies, you were all wrong , my hubby loves to much this like a child. in fact, Finding Nemo is the reason why we met in Qatar. it was love at first sigh on his side when he saw me watching Finding Nemo in his friends house.
I recommend everything except for Harry Potter and The Chocolate Factory but for the rest I do let my daughter watch it even without me staying with her.
Thanks for this list. I will keep this for future use, when I become a mom 🙂
You are welcome. Great family friendly movies should really be in the list for our reference.
My kids love Toy Story. Great story. Great learning.
I agree with your list although you missed in your list “The Incredibles” 🙂
Yes, the lists are only top 5 and if it is top 10 The Incredibles movie is included
I am sorry but I think Harry Potter movies shouldn’t be included but for the rest I thumbs up for them

Great share and analogy. Love those kind of movies that discusses good family values and friendship.
HP series seem to be a bit heavy for kids… or perhaps for the younger ones.
The movies listed above have moral values and lessons that we should know. Thanks for posting this. 😀
