A few months before my expected date of delivery, I bought essential list for my baby such as the baby clothing, items for baby hygiene and grooming, and most importantly items for baby feeding and nursing.
Compared to my first baby, my hubby and I have enough time and budget in preparing for our second baby. We became smarter and wiser in buying what to things for our baby. I have read reviews on the recommended baby bottles, breast pump, and sterilizer.
For baby feeding bottles, Philips Avent have good feedbacks so we decided to buy the Philips AVENT BPA Free Classic Infant Starter Gift Set. The starter kit features a clinically proven anti-colic valve for less air in a baby’s tummy and a more comfortable feeding experience. The products inside the starter gift set includes (2) 9 ounce bottles and (2) 4 ounce bottles, Bottle brush, formula dispenser, pacifier, and trainer cup. I bought this product online that cost around Php 2,000 + at shopwiser philippines but it cost higher when you buy this at the mall. I have been using these products with my newborn baby for a month now and I am happy to have these products.
Philips Avent ISIS natural manual breast pump greatly helps in stimulating the natural milk flow from my breast. With the breastfeeding campaign and my eagerness to breastfeed my baby, I bought this product. What I love about Philips Avent ISIS natural manual breast pump is that it is very easy to use, very handy, very effective, it will not hurt your breast because you can control when expressing milk. Same with the Philips Avent Infant starter kit, I bought this online at the price around Php2,400 +.
With the type of sterilizer, I have read that it is best to use the steam sterilizer and not the microwave type. Since we are running out of budget, hubby and I searched for an alternative steam sterilizer that cost lower compared to Philips Avent. We bought the Bebeta Express Steam Electric Sterilizer (Baby Kitty for my baby girl) at the price of Php1, 700+ only at Landmark mall. Good thing that Philips Avent bottles fits in the Bebeta steam sterilizer too so less worries for that. Sterilize time at approximately eight minutes at 70ml water.
As of 2014, my Bebeta Express Steam Electric Sterilizer is still in good working condition.
