There is nothing more comforting to a baby than his mother’s touch. True enough, even experts have wondered about the instant feeling of relief, comfort and security that a mother’s hands bring to her little one. Let’s explore on the ways to best express your love through touch:
1. Massaging your baby.A good massage instantly calms your little one, giving him a peaceful good night’s sleep. For his mildest protection, we suggest using NIVEA BABY Nutri Sensitive Milk Lotion. Specially formulated for sensitive and dry skin, it intensively nourishes with natural Omega-6 lipids and shea butter to protect against irritations and improve the skin’s condition.
2. Breastfeeding.Breastfeeding provides your baby the nutrition he needs. More importantly, it brings you closer to your baby, and makes a for perfect touch-bonding moment that only you and your little darling can share.
3. Patting his back.Patting your baby’s back to allow him to burp promotes good blood circulation and proper digestion. Imagine hearing that cute little burp from your little darling!
4. Hugging your baby to start the dayHow your baby wakes up in the morning defines his mood for the rest of the day. Start his day right by giving your baby a warm and tight embrace. It will surely make his day brighter.
5. Tickling.Your little one absolutely loves to be tickled during playtime! Watch him giggle as your fingers reach his ticklish spots. Plus, you get to hear him giggle, which makes everything more adorable!
6. Soothe. Do you notice how your touch can immediately calm your baby when he cries because of rashes? Your touch makes him feel that everything is going to be all right. It also helps that NIVEA BABY Smoothy Cream provides 24-hour soothing moisture for his face and body with natural calendula to help heal rashes and irritations, while making skin soft and healthy.
7. Caressing him. With your gentle caress, your baby will be snoozing his way to slumber in no time. As he sleeps, keep him feeling protected with your comforting touch.
8. Holding him near your chest. A simple act of holding your baby close to you leads to stronger mother-baby bonding. This creates an instant intimate connection between you and your baby.
9. Bathing him.Bathing is also a time for caring. Take time to make bath time more enjoyable for your baby with lots of playful touches as you nourish his skin with NIVEA BABY Nutri Sensitive Milk Wash. Formulated specially for dry and sensitive skin, it nourishes with natural omega-6 lipids to protect the skin against irritations and dryness.
10. Guiding his first steps. Being there and holding his hands as your baby gets through this milestone is going to be one of the best memories you will ever have. True, a mother’s loving touch comforts and heals. My son is already 6 years old, but we still do a lot of the things you mentioned in your list, like massaging, hugging, tickling. My son loves those, and I love getting bear hugs and kisses in return.
You are right. Giving our baby a message really helps a lot. They sleep better at night and most of all, they feel loved. 🙂
Can’t agree more. When doing my rounds as a dad, I do almost all of the items listed above. My kids, specially the youngest (3 yo) loves to be tickled and cuddled.
The baby would really love to being caressed and comforted and Nivea Baby products would be perfect for them as this is customized to their delicate skin.
Wow! Thank you for sharing this list 🙂
Can I use that milk wash for my sensitive area down there as a Lactacyd replacement? I’m not a Nivea user so I bet you have used the product yourself.
Hi,
The Nivea Nurti sensitive milk wash gently cleanses sensitive and dry skin so I think you can use you definitely use that to the sensitive skin areas. I have not tried it using as feminine wash but I have tested it to wash my face. It was so gentle and I love the baby mild scent.
We do all of these things to our kids without necessarily listing them down like this. How interesting to see them defined one by one!

Nothing beats mother’s loving touch 🙂 This post made me a bit nostalgic, my youngest son is already 6 years old and no more babies for me. Kakamiss 🙁
When i gave birth to my girls, massage and mother’s hug were very much suggested. I gave birth to them prematurely and I visit them in the hospital for a month (yes, they stayed there) and I was always asked to give them soft massage. It’s one of the first signs of love you can show your baby.
I have two kids now and I still do the things you’ve listed above, i will not get tired no matter how many kids I have. Thanks for making a post like this, it reminds us how we should behave 🙂
I agree on all 10. Most of that on the list doesn’t just apply to babies, even older kids can benefit from “touch therapy” from their parents.
A mother’s touch is truly magical. Your post is a good reminder to all of us that our babies benefit from our simple touch.
Human touch heals especially that of a mother’s loving touch to her children.
Because Dindin has dry skin, I used the cream when she was younger. We consumed so many tubs of it! 😀
These tips you share will truly guide those newly moms who are searching for tips and how to become a better mom soon. Oh by the way, I totally agree with this.
Touch therapy really works for mom and baby. Now I miss having a baby too. 🙂
i guess the only thing i was not able to do in this list is to breastfeed my little one. it was really heart-breaking + frustrating for me but the milk just won’t come out + my baby just won’t latch, so i was able to breastfeed him for a very short time. looking back, i wish i asked the help of lactation experts to help me deal with my predicament.
oh + by the way, Nivea is also one of my most favorite baby products, hiyang kasi si Jared 🙂
My little boy also loves Nivea. 🙂
I am a very touchy mom too and yes, it really helps if you hug and kids your kids every day.
A very touching post! I do the hugging part a lot even though my son is now 6 🙂
