It’s been a week now since I experience coughing. Last month it was my son who have coughs and colds. Then, daddy cough too followed by my youngest child. Now it’s me.
I can’t sleep comfortably. Sometimes my youngest wakes up in the middle of the night due to coughs. Thankfully, I think she feels better now compared last week. I can’t control my cough anymore so I decided to see a doctor today. I hope she’ll prescribe the best medicine for fast relief and treatment. My eldest son understands how it feels to be sick. He comforts me saying “Mommy, I do not want you to be sick.” I would promise him that I will do my best to recover fast from this illness. It affects my bonding with my kids.
For temporary cough relief, I take Vicks 44 formula. My complain is my itchy throat making me cough at times. I also take antihistamine but my concern if I keep on taking these for several days, who’s going to take care of my kids. It makes me sleepy and dizzy. Being a mom is a tough vocation. I need to be always at my kids side most especially in their growing up days.
I took a leave of work today. I hope tomorrow is going to be a bright no cough day. Let us keep ourselves healthy for our family.
