Exciting! As the days passed by, the home extension progress keeps pushing through. Sharing with you the development of the project.
It has been six weeks since day one of construction. The last home extension progress was the construction of the second floor slab and reinforcement of it to the main house. That part was the most challenging part.
Following the progress is the construction of the third floor slab and roof deck. During the reinforcement of the house, the workers focus on that scope of work. There are a few movements while curing time of the newly constructed slab.
Regarding the workers, we make sure that they have water and snacks at break. We give them snacks at 9:30AM and 3:00PM for merienda. Construction and carpentry is a tough job. So, we nourish the workers with good food. We might spend extra money for that, but we are happy that they work with grace and enthusiasm to complete the daily task.
The photo above is my favorite spot. Due to the ongoing construction, it is still messy. It is a place where there are four trees and other plants. The green leaves look so relaxing with natural fresh air.
Imagine at our humble home, we have a total of six trees. Who would have thought that a lot area less than 100 square meters with an extended home can fit in with those trees. Let us be generous with mother nature.
Come on! If there will be no trees and plants, what would be the future? No fresh air, no greens, no support for the soil, and no plants to filter the air pollution. My advocacy is to support mother nature, so here I am planning, planting, and doing my best part to help the nature in the simple ways I can.
Moreover, that balcony facing the trees will be my special place at home. I am dreaming of staying there while I work, read a book or simply take a nap. I am thinking of a relaxing coffee table set or a maybe a couch to place there. I am so elated to design the balcony area.
For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. ~ Hebrews 3:4
Definitely, we are looking forward to the completion of our home extension project. I like to share about the cost of this project soon. Stay tuned for my upcoming updates.
