Advantages of having a big family

It feels so comfortable when you are at home with your family. They say the more the merrier same with the bigger family. I have met several friends and relatives having big family and I can say that  it is true. You can find happiness in every member and the bigger number is merrier because there are many advantages of having a big family. Although there are also disadvantages, let me share the advantages of having a big family.

Advantages of having big family

• Household chores can be easily done.You can divide the household chores with every member of the family. Through their cooperation and helping hand, the household chores can be manageable.
• The celebration of occasion such as birthday, Christmas party and reunion are so fun and lively with big family.
• You can always have someone to support or help you in your life endeavors. With big family, there are big chances of someone who can always be there for you especially in difficult times that are hard to find in friends.
• In times of experiencing life struggles such as sickness or death, big family can give you big support. An example of this situation is  when one member passed away. It will be easy to manage the funeral planning checklist as each member contributes and share what they can.

Nowadays the recommended child per family is two to three children but it still depends on the capacity of the parents to raise a family. The basic disadvantage of having a big family is focusing on the financial capacity to raise the children. With big family, the parents (providers) should be earning well enough to cover the needs and important expenditures of the family such as food, education and shelter.
