My Husband and I started to keep a toolbox and utility bag together before we got married. Before, we mainly used the toolbox for our internet café business, computer networks and repair but eventually when we get married my husband is the one who keep the toolbox and utility bag. Now that our family is growing bigger, several tools are essential to keep whether at home or in a car. They say that men should have these essential tools especially daddy. The tools listed below are typically found in daddy’s toolbox at home.
Basic Tools in Daddy’s toolbox
The essential tools in Daddy’s toolbox are:
- Claw hammer
- Flathead Screwdriver
- Philips Screwdriver
- utility knives and cutters
- Tape measure
- Vise Grip (locking) Pliers
- Needle Nose Pliers
- Cordless Drill and Bits
- Crosscut Saw
- Crescent Wrench
- Socket wrench
- Flashlights with extra batteries
At home we already have more than half of these tools. We usually use the small Philips screwdriver for the toys of my little boy. The Claw hammer is on top of the list because it is widely use in most basic home repair. My husband and I are aiming to buy a Cordless Drill and Bits. We found this very helpful for drilling holes into sheetrock or driving screws. A 12V Cordless Drill and Bits would be good to consider because it is handy and enough power to do most around at home.
The photo above are the basic tools that we used at home. During my wedding a few years ago, one of my friend gave Claw hammer as a gift. Hubby and I were surprised that hammer is not a typical gift for wedding. I just told him that it is a unique gift and would mean in a positive way to keep our marriage strong.
