Summer is a great season to spend recreational outdoor activities. Camping can be considered as one of the most fun and relaxing recreational outdoor activity. It became popular in the early 20th century usually a part of the youth organizations like scouting. I remember during my grade school days, I was able to join camping happened in a privately owned beautiful land near the mountain.
We set the camp site at near the slope of the mountain and from there, our camp masters prepared different camping games and activities. I have learned that before going to a camp, you should be prepared and pack camping checklist.
Camping Checklist
- Shelter and bedding – Tent, sleeping bag, tarp, blanket
- Water, food, stove, dining kit
- Clothes – do not forget to bring pants, boots, sweater and cap.
- Personal Hygiene
- Cleaning items.
- First Aid kit.
- Tools & other miscellaneous – can opener, knife, flashlights with extra batteries such as aa battery charger, matches, whistle, duct tape, compass, binoculars, rope, candles.
In addition it is best to bring something that will make you feel comfortable when you are far from home such a family photo and your favorite thing.
