Since my toddler begin to speak words, I did my best to teach him polite words that we normally use at home. I must say that at his age now, I am so challenge with his mood swings and manner. He is now three years and six months old . At this age, he can easily imitate what he hear and see. He is so picky eater and I found myself doing tricks every meal time just for him to eat the food.

Cute filipino toddler boy on polite words
Simple Polite words to teach a child
- Say “Thank you!” when receiving gifts, things , toys or anything that was given to the child
- Say “Sorry” when you hurt someone
- Say “Sorry, I will not do it again” when the child has done something naughty
- Say “May I borrow or please” when requesting something
- Say “Thank you for the blessings” to God for wonderful things/ foods
- Say “I am happy” to show happiness and excitement
- Say “I love you” to mommy, daddy and the rest of the family
- Say “Hi” or “Hello” to greet friends
The words above are the simple polite words that a child should learn. I remember when my little boy attended a toddler’s playgroup, the teacher told me that my son say “Sorry” to his playmate when they encountered squabble. Saying polite words are the sweetest words that you can hear from a child. They are so sincere when they say it. 🙂
Hey nice post. My daughter got all except I missed on the “I will not do it again.” Thanks for that.
