Modern world makes most of our life’s activities easier. From workplace to household areas, we use technologies that could make our task lighter and comfortable. It is not only about technologies but also the innovation of certain things or accessories. Sometimes we use a thing or an accessory but we did not exactly notice how useful it is.
I find lanyard as a simple accessory to some of the things that I use for convenience. Imagine the keys without a key holder or key ring, an ID/ nametags without holder; that is unbearable to keep without the lanyard especially if you are engage in a crowded environment with tons of work to do.

At home, I use lanyards with key ring attachment to keep track of our important door keys. I seldom use a USB drive but to be able not to forget this device, it a great thing that I have a USB lanyard with USB buckle that I just hang beside my computer area. It looks like the one that can be found in Namify.
The lanyards is an essential accessory in the event as well. I have been in several events and most of the organizers and coordinators wear nametags or badge so that it will be easier for the guest to identify them. Same with the guests, I happened to be a participant in a talk event and they gave us a lanyard with nametags attach to it.
Reasons why lanyards are so useful:
- The usual purpose of lanyards is to secure things. A best example of this is securing valuable things such as cell phone with the lanyard cell phone loop.
- To avoid the risk of losing the object such as the keys with the use of an attachment with key ring.
- Very helpful to be used at business or personal events to hold nametags, badge holders, and badge reels.
- The different styles and types of lanyard have multi-purpose use. The reflective lanyard is good to be used in dark places making the object visible.
- Used to keep accessories in place.
- With lanyard, it is easy to keep track of your things and other accessories.
In addition, I think personalized lanyard with customized design is considerably great to prepare for employee gifts or in promotional branding products.
I use lanyards to keep the kids’ gadgets safe. whenever they get too excited they tend to forget where they place their stuff.
We have this too at home. Especially my mother-in-law who is keeper of all keys hahaha! She have 4 sons and she have the duplicates of all their vehicles.

I wish we have lanyard during my era. We only use safety pins for IDs. Few weeks ago, I bought a new lanyard for my daughter but after a week I was given two lanyards at the event, but it’s too late already.
Oh my I have so many of these lanyards that I left at my parents’ home because I don’t have anything to use them on!
